Stevens Creek Reservoir Kayak Rentals

This kayak rental facility is closed for the season until mid May 2008 unless large group reservations are made. Another rental option is to do a take-away kayak rental from our store. Classes will continue throughout the year at this location.

At Stevens Creek Reservoir we offer on-water hourly kayak rentals. There's no need to lug a boat to Stevens Creek Reservoir because we have all sorts of kayaks to rent. Stevens Creek Reservoir is perfect for first time paddlers and those looking to hone their kayaking skills. It's an incredibly relaxing place to visit, easy to get to, and is nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Operating Hours
Our Stevens Creek Reservoir facility is open every Saturday and Sunday from mid-May through early September. Operating times are from 11:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. The last rental goes out at 4:00 P.M. and is due back by 5:00 P.M. If you have a large group and need extended operating hours or midweek access, just give us a call to make arrangements.

Kayak Availability
The availability of our rental kayaks is generally very good on a first come first serve basis, but unfortunately we can not predict the demand. We primarily rent recreational sit-on-top and sit inside kayaks appropriate for total beginners. Those that have taken an instructional class equivalent to our Kayaking Skills and Safety class may rent sea touring kayaks.

Group Reservations
Reservations are only accepted for prepaid groups of ten or more.

Demos
Customers who are interested in purchasing a kayak may "demo" kayaks at Stevens Creek Reservoir and will be allowed to swap out different kayaks during their rental period. You may apply up to $50 of what you spend at Stevens Creek Reservoir toward the purchase of a new regular priced kayak within one month. If there is a particular kayak you would like to demo, please contact us for availability.

Directions
From San Jose take highway 280 north to Foothill Expressway. Head south on Foothill towards the hills, where it becomes Stevens Canyon Road. Wind your way up until Stevens Creek Reservoir becomes visible on your left. Park in the obvious lot on the left side of the road. We are located near the launch ramp.
