Paddleboard Rentals at Del Valle Regional Park, East Bay Area

Kayaking at Del Valle inthe East Bay

Del Valle Regional Park is just outside of Livermore and is a fantastic place to paddleboard. It features a five mile long lake with many nooks and crannies to explore. Plenty of wildlife can be spotted while paddleboarding both in and around the water's edge. We offer stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rentals, kayak rentals, bike rentals, and picnic game rentals on an hourly basis. Beginner paddleboarders are welcomed to rent paddleboards, but you may also want to consider taking a paddleboarding class.

Boating, camping, picnicing, biking, hiking, and horseback riding are just some of the activities to do at Del Valle. The park also offers food services to make those day trips a little easier. The minimum rental time is one hour and is prorated therafter. Please be sure to read our rental policies.

We offer stable and easy to use stand-up paddleboards appropriate for developing paddlers as well as high-end performance race boards.

Please note that US Coast Guard law, all paddleboard rentals include a lifejacket that must be worn at all times. Please see our rental policies.

Operating Hours

The Del Valle Outdoor Sports Center is open from April until the end of October. Please see below for exact times. Please keep in mind that occasionally the facility may need to close due to weather.

Paddleboard Availability and Reservations

We rent stand up paddleboards (SUP) on a first come first served basis and the availability is generally very good. Reservations are only accepted for prepaid groups of ten or more. For weekend reservations, start times must begin before 10:00am. If you have a group and want to make a reservation or customize a midweek event, please contact our guide service coordinator.

We rent stable and easy to use paddle boards appropriate for developing paddlers. If you want to learn how to stand up paddleboard take a class with Outback Adventures.

Are you thinking about buying a paddleboard? If so, the best way to buy one is to try some. Our expert sales staff will help you narrow your choices, but paddling the various models will help you decide. Paddleboard shoppers will be allowed to swap out different paddleboards during their rental period. Up to $50 of what you spend may be applied toward the purchase of a new regular priced stand up paddleboard (SUP). If there is a particular paddle board you would like to demo or you are interested in purchasing a used paddleboard, please contact us for availability.

Directions to Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore

Directions from the South Bay using 680

Take 680 North to Highway 84 East towards Livermore. Follow 84 East for 5.4 miles and turn right on Vallecitos Road. Follow Vallecitos Road for 2 miles and make a right on Concannon Boulevard. Drive 2 more miles where the road dead ends at South Livermore Avenue, then turn right. Follow South Livermore Avenue for one mile then turn right onto Mines Road. Don't make any turns and Mines Road will turn into Del Valle Road. Continue on Del Valle Road and wind your way up the hill until you reach Del Valle Regional Park. The vehicle entrance fee is $6. Immediately after entering the park, make a right and park in the larger lot just behind the large lawn area. The Outdoor Sports Center is located on the beach in front of the lawn.

Directions from the East Bay using 580

Take 580 East towards Livermore and take the North Livermore Avenue exit. At the light, make a right on North Livermore Avenue. Continue driving for 3.7 miles then turn right onto Mines Road. Don't make any turns and Mines Road will turn into Del Valle Road. Continue on Del Valle Road and wind your way up the hill until you reach Del Valle Regional Park. The vehicle entrance fee is $6. Immediately after entering the park, make a right and park in the larger lot just behind the large lawn area. The Outdoor Sports Center is located on the beach in front of the lawn.
