Trip Description: If
you’ve always wanted to learn to backpack or you
just want people to go with in a fun and safe environment,
here is your chance. Chilnualna Falls is a breathtaking
waterfall in Southern Yosemite. This trail starts at 4000
feet and hikes to 6000+ feet, and is a good early or late
season trip. On this three-day backpacking trip our experienced
and friendly guides will cover all the basics you need
to begin planning and conducting your own adventures.

items. Be sure to bring money for the entrance fee into
Yosemite National Park.
*It is customary to bring a tip for your

trip is good for beginners and more experienced backpackers.

Directions from
San Jose: From the South Bay Area take 101 south
to Gilroy. Out of Gilroy take 152 east (over the Pacheco
pass) to Chowchilla where you will get on 99 south. Take
99 south to Madera where you will take 145 east. 145 goes
through Madera and requires a few turns through town so
follow the signs carefully. Take 145 east to highway 41
north. Highway 41 north will take you into Wawona, fallow
the signs to the Wawona ranger station. See you there at
11:00 am!! Leave at least 5 hours for the drive.
