Trip Description: Lassen
Volcanic National Park is home to a very unique landscape
that is sure to suprise you with its diversity. On this
adventure we will explore lava beds, cinder cones, large
lakes, painted dunes, natural springs, volcanoes, and thick
forests. With rewarding vistas and an abundance of geological
features, this trip is sure to please. On this three-day
backpacking trip our experienced and friendly guides will
cover all the basics you need to begin planning and conducting
your own adventures.

to Bring: View the

items. Be sure to bring money for the entrance fee into
Lassen Volcanic National Park.

trip is good for beginners and more experienced backpackers.

AM on Day 1, to approximately 4:30 PM on Day 3

Directions from
San Jose: From the South Bay Area take 280 south
which turns into 680 north. This eventually will allow
you to take 80 north. Just past Vacaville, take 505 north,
which merges with I-5 North. Continue on I-5 until you
reach the town of Red Bluff. Take Highway 36 east towards
the town of Mineral. The ranger station will be on the
left
just before Mineral. Leave five hours for the drive from
San Jose.
