Description: Take an exciting kayak tour of Bair Island
Ecological Reserve and Corkscrew Slough and experience the
serenity
of being surrounded by a maze of waterways. On this kayaking
tour, you will spend time exploring the many winding channels
of the slough while observing many wetland bird species.
This adventure is for those looking for a longer exploratory
tour in a true slough environment.
What to Bring:
- Wear synthetic,
wool, or silk clothing (swimsuit, shirt, shorts,
jacket, & warm
cap) rather than cotton.
- Water
- Food (sandwich, fruit, energy bars)
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses
- Eyeglasses / Sunglasses keeper straps
- Booties, water
shoes, or sport sandals
- Towel
- A change of clothes
- Consider bringing a tip for your instructor / guide
for exceptional service
Level: Recommended for beginners and intermediates in
good physical condition.
Time: Dependent on tides, but usually starting between
9:00 AM and 11:00 AM and ending between 3:00 PM and 5:00
PM.

Directions from
San Jose: Take 101 north and exit at Woodside
and head east. Turn right onto Seaport Blvd. Turn left
onto Chesapeake Drive and continue to the end of the road.
Park alongside the road or in the parking lot across from
the boat launch. Meet your guides near the launch ramp.
