Representing six million American women who worked in munitions factories during WWII, Rosie The Riveter is now a cultural icon. Located in Richmond California, these historic Shipyards constitute the largest WWII shipyard operation in the U.S. Our knowledable guides will lead you on a tour of this National Historic Park from a unique perpective. Among the many highlights of this trip is a chance to paddle alongside the SS Red Oak Victory Ship. Awarded to the Richmond Museum of History by Congress in 1966, the Red Oak was stationed in Pearl Harbor from 1945 until the end of the war serving as an ammunition ship for other ships in the area.
