 Kayaking
Summer Day Camp
South Bay
Trip Details
Course Description: If
your child is ready to have lots of fun while getting a little
wet, then this trip is for them. This action packed camp
includes kayak skills training and tours, cooperative kayak
games, and environmental education. The protected waters,
warm climate, and abundant wildlife at our kayaking “base
camp”, combine to make the perfect outdoor learning
center. Your child will learn about kayaking and the local
environment through interactive games and hands-on experience.
We make learning fun!
The first two days of our camp will include
interactive kayak instruction through group discussion and
kayak games, such as obstacle course maneuvering, kayak polo,
and some good ‘ole fashion playing
and splashing.
On day three, graduation day, we will put
our campers' kayaking skills and knowledge to the test with
an interactive scavenger hunt complete with prizes where
everyone is a winner! We will also top off the day with a
sea kayak tour to a boat-in picnic area for lunch.
Our friendly, professional instructors will
make sure your child comes home knowing the fundamentals
of kayaking, as well as having met and overcome new challenges.
