Course Description: Kids
are natural climbers and that's why they love this camp!
This two-day adventure will teach the fundamentals of
rock climbing in a safe and supportive environment. Conducted
on real rock, our experienced and patient guides provide
a unique outdoor experience in a positive and exciting
atmosphere. The climbs are suitable for all abilities,
ensuring a challenging, yet rewarding experience.
In this program, we will cover climbing
safety, movement, knots, equipment, and belaying.

Time: 9:00am
- 3:00pm (Parent drop-off starting at 8:30am, pick-up by
3:30pm)
What to Bring:
All items available for purchase at Outback
Adventures retail store
- Wear Synthetic clothing (Tee shirt or
light longsleve, shorts, jacket, warm cap)
- Sturdy shoes with good traction (light
hiking boots or solid sneakers)
- Sunscreen/Lip Balm
- Sunglasses with retainer strap
- Sun Hat
- Backpack/daypack (medium size)
- Water (two liters)
- Food (sandwich, fruit, energy bars)
- Consider bringing a tip for your instructor
for exceptional service

- Pocket Knives
- Glass containers
- Electronics (game boys, gps, mp3 players)
- Anything that might be a tragic loss

Directions from
San Jose: From San Jose take Highway 85 north to
the Saratoga Ave exit. Turn left (southwest) and follow
the road through downtown Saratoga. Once in downtown Saratoga
you will be on Highway 9. Continue on Highway 9 until you
reach the stop sign at the summit. Turn left onto Skyline
Blvd. Follow the road for a few miles. The park will be
located on your right. Please allow yourself at least 40
minutes to get to Castle Rock after exiting Highway 85.
Last food and gas is located in downtown Saratoga.

just outside the main parking lot at Castle Rock State
Park.
