Backcountry Ski Hut Tour Meiss Hut

Join us for backcountry hut skiing in Tahoe this winter!

We will ski out to the hut the morning of our first day, drop our belongings in the cabin and grab our daypacks for the first day of backcountry ski instruction. We will have access to some of the Sierra Nevada's best backcountry skiing at our doorstep. After a full day of fresh tracks we will end our last run at the doorstep of our backcountry cabin. That evening we will treat ourselves to good food, fireplace warmth, and good company. The next morning when you wake up and poke your head out of the cabin you will find yourself surrounded by untouched runs! It's a great feeling and the excitement wont dull as you head off for a second day of backcountry skiing. It doesn't get any better than this!

In this 2 day, 1 night backcountry ski course you will learn the fundamentals of backcountry skiing technique, risk management skills of avalanche awareness, and route finding. We will practice with avalanche transceivers, and search and rescue techniques. The price includes breakfast, dinners, safety equipment, experienced friendly guides, and lodging.
