A fantastic rock climbing adventure for your private group

This adventure is for those who want to try outdoor rock climbing for the first time without the artificial indoor atmosphere. Throughout the day we will emphasize fun rather than the technical aspects of climbing. Climb easy to challenging rocks in a very safe setting. Great for friends, family, and group events. All ages welcome.

Prerequistes:

No previous experience required

What to Bring

Comfortable clothes for cold and hot weather
Shoes or boots with good traction
2-3 quarts of water
Lunch
Sunscreen
Sunglasses
Retainer straps for glasses
Personal climbing gear (optional and subject to instructor / guide approval)
Medium size backpack to carry your items
Consider bringing a tip for your instructor / guide for exceptional service

Directions to Castle Rock State Park From San Jose

From San Jose, take Highway 85 North to the Saratoga Avenue exit. Turn left (Southwest) and follow the road through downtown Saratoga. Once in downtown Saratoga you will be on Highway 9. Continue on Highway 9 until you reach the stop sign at the summit. Turn left onto Skyline Boulevard. Follow the road for a few miles. The park will be located on your right. If you park in the main parking lot you will have to pay a $6 day use fee. Please allow yourself at least 30 minutes to get to Castle Rock after exiting Highway 85. Last food and gas is located in downtown Saratoga.
