Trip Details
Class Description: You don't need any experience
or brute strength to try this adventure. Whether you are a
total beginner, an intermediate gym climber, or someone looking
for a refresher, you can be assured you'll have a blast. Throughout
the day you will get expert instruction and a lot of climbing
time. By the end of the course you will know about climbing
safety, movement, equipment, and belaying. So go for it, and
make the next move with Outback Adventures!
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothes for cold and hot weather
- Shoes or boots with good traction
- 2-3 quarts of water
- Food (sandwich, fruit, energy bars)
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses
- Retainer straps for glasses
- Medium size backpack to carry your items
- Consider bringing a tip for your instructor / guide for
exceptional service
- Parking fee $6
Optional: Any personal climbing gear that you would like
to use for your class. Gear will be inspected and approved
by your guide on the day of the course.
Level: Recommended
for beginners or people with limited indoor climbing experience.

to approximately 3:00 PM.

Directions: From Highway 101, take the Highway 1 North exit
towards Stinson Beach. You will find this exit off highway
101 just north of Sausalito. Stay on Highway 1 through town,
and continue for a little over three miles. Turn right onto
Panoramic Highway, and continue up the road towards Mt. Tamapais.
Follow signs toward the East Summit, and continue all the
way to the end of the road, where you will find a large parking
lot. There is a rest room, refreshment stand, and fresh water.
Please be prepared for the parking fee of $6. Please allow
yourself at least 30 minutes to get to Mount Tamalpais after
exiting Highway 101. Last food and gas is located in Tamalpais
Valley Junction, right off Highway 101. Meet your guide next
to the restrooms where you will find a bulletin board.
