Kayaking Bair Island & Corkscrew Slough
A kayak explorer's playground
Take an exciting kayak tour around Bair Island Ecological Reserve and Corkscrew Slough and experience the serenity of being surrounded by a maze of waterways. Located in the heart of the Bay Area near Redwood City, Bair Island will surprise you with it's beauty and wildlife. Twice saved from development, Bair Island is both a rare survivor and local treasure. On this tour, you will spend time exploring the many winding channels of the slough while observing many wetland bird species and looking out for curious Harbor Seals. While exploring, you will see the wetland restoration efforts that have restored habitats and tidal flows that support Bair Island's diverse wildlife.
This adventure is for those looking for a longer exploratory tour in a true wetland slough environment.
