A solid foundation for your winter camping pursuits
You will come away from this two-day adventure knowing the basics of snowshoeing, snow shelters, avalanche awareness, diet, winter equipment, and more. You will find snow camping is a great way to find solitude and see some very beautiful places. Breakfast, dinner, and group camping equipment are included. Beginner to advanced backpackers ready for learning and adventure welcome.

Directions to Lassen Volcanic National Park from the South Bay Area
From the South Bay Area take 280 South which turns into 680 North. This eventually will allow you to take 80 North. Just past Vacaville, take 505 North, which merges with I-5 North. Continue on I-5 until you reach the town of Red Bluff. Take Highway 36 east to the town of Mineral. A few miles past the town of Mineral you will turn left onto Highway 89, and this will take you to the Southwest entrance station and the Kohm Yah-Mah-Nee visitor center.
Meeting Place: Meet outside of the Kohm Yah-Mah-Nee Visitor Center.
